Our supportive staff will make the process of applying and studying in the U.S. a smooth experience. Other institutes offer cut-rate programs and almost no advising support, but the ELI is different. Registration and Payment
- Tuition is billed at the beginning of the semester for the full semester.
- Students must register and pay their designated tuition and fees by 12 noon on Friday of the first week.
- If payment is not made by the required time, students will not be allowed to attend class.
- Absences due to non-payment are considered unexcused.

- Students are not eligible for any refunds of their tuition for the entire semester if they withdraw, transfer, or are dismissed after the ELI census date.
- Once a student registers, they are required to pay their tuition, fees, and insurance, even if they stop attending.
- If a student withdraws on or after the first program day, they may be eligible for a partial refund according to the following schedule. To withdraw, a student must send an email to both the director and eliadmissions@uta.edu stating their intent to withdraw along with documentation to maintain immigration status.
- The program week begins on the first program day as listed on your I-20 (not on the first day of classes).
- Note that under no circumstances will insurance and fees be refunded.
If a student withdraws from the EAP, the refund shall be determined as follows:

| Before 5pm on Thursday of the first program week of the semester | 75% | Student is responsible for 25% of tuition, plus 100% of insurance and fees |
| After 5pm on Thursday of the first program week of the semester, but before the official ELI census date | 50% | Student is responsible for 50% of tuition, plus 100% of insurance and fees |
| After 5:00 p.m. on ELI’s census date | No Refund | Student is responsible for 100% of tuition, fees, and insurance |
NOTES:
- Health insurance and UTA fees are not refundable
- Students are responsible for their tuition and fees regardless of when they register.
- The refund policy remains the same regardless of when students pay their tuition and fees.
- Students are not eligible for a refund of any tuition if they withdraw, transfer out, or are dismissed after the first week of the semester.
- The program week includes the first day of registration and holidays.
