ELI is more than just a great place to study English
At most language schools, you won’t find any services offered to students outside the classroom, but the ELI is different! The ELI provides many opportunities for students to improve their English and gain leadership experience outside the classroom. Take a look at the activities and groups on this page. We hope you will get involved beyond the classroom here. You will find that your English skills will advance more rapidly and feel a deeper connection to the community.
Student Council
The ELI Student Council members serve as a voice for the EAP students. They meet together to plan fun activities and important events. Students are nominated by current Council members and by their instructors.

Conversation Club
Want a chance to practice your speaking outside the ELI classroom? The Conversation Club meets 1-2 hours a week in the evening. Students share their thoughts and opinions on the topic of the day while enjoying free snacks! Native speakers often join the group to meet international students. This is a great opportunity to improve your speaking and make new friends!

Conversation Partners
