Computer Labs
The ELI has two computer labs, each with multiple student computers. Research for a presentation or paper, print out an assignment, use our language software, or just watch a funny video on YouTube! Each computer has an internet connection, headset for private listening and recording, and the language learning software American Speechsounds.
Student Library
Find books that are at YOUR level of reading, right inside the ELI!
We believe that extensive reading is the key to academic success, and that is why the ELI Student Library has thousands of books of just about every kind, sorted by level, and available for students to check out while they study at the ELI!
Language Acquisition Center
The Language Acquisition Center Lab is a great resource for students. It has a study lounge which offers a quiet place for students to collaborate and do homework as well as a state-of-the-art computer lab where students can access great apps and a library of movies and educational videos.
Free Newspaper!
That’s right, you’ll find a fresh copy of the Fort Worth Star Telegram and the UTA Shorthorn newspaper every day, free of charge! Just look on the first floor of Hammond Hall!
Need a ride?
The UTA has shuttles that transport students around campus, as well as to and from distant parking lots! There’s also a Saturday shuttle that can take you to the Parks Mall for a small fee!

Like to exercise?
The MAC, also known as the The Maverick Activities Center, is more than just a gym, it is an extensive multipurpose recreation facility with basketball, volleyball, racquetball, and badminton courts. But that’s not all! It also has an 1,800 square meter weight and fitness room, a climbing wall and more! ELI students can access the MAC for a $75 semester fee.
